Giovanni Cuzari was born in Belluno on 2 September 1967. From the early age he developed a passion for motors; he approached four-wheel racing and rally competitions to which he added a growing interest in sponsoring and communication activities.

The racing environment allowed Cuzari to come into contact with leading sportsmen, including Valentino and Graziano Rossi, with whom he gradually approached the world of two-wheel racing. It was also in this context that he started a project that would lead him to compete at the highest levels of the MotoGP World Championship, acquiring a decade of experience in the motor sport sector.

The great attention to the creation of communication projects for the partners and the "know-how" acquired have led Giovanni Cuzari to excel in the motorbike sponsoring market, which enjoys one of the best "quality-price" rates in racing.

In 2009, from the ashes of Hayate, the Forward Racing Team was born and Media Action, a company of the Cuzari group, took over the management of the team with enthusiasm embracing the new philosophy of the Moto2 category: racing at the highest levels, but within an economically sustainable context.

2012 is the turning point with the entry of Team Forward in MotoGP with rider Colin Edwards. The Team follows a path of growth in the premier class until the conquest, in 2014, of the Open MotoGP crown with Aleix Espargaró who gets an incredible Pole Position and a stratospheric second place in the GP of Aragon.

Season 2015 is marked by an important collaboration with the VR46 Riders Academy through two very promising riders, Lorenzo Baldassarri and Luca Marini (Valentino Rossi's brother), which marks another milestone in the history of the Forward Racing Team. The pool of young riders supported by Valentino Rossi's academy is a guarantee of competitiveness and professionalism that have paid off with the podiums and the victory of Baldassarri at the GP of Misano.

The close understanding between the Team and the VR46 Riders Academy, aims at the growth of the riders with the goal of building value over time through a close collaboration between the structure of the Team and the support of the Academy.

The team finds its strength in a cohesive staff and a solid structure that has been improved over the years while maintaining its cornerstones: qualified and prepared technicians who, working with passion, give their best within the team and provide the riders with their experience.

A well-structured team becomes the basis for success in sporting competition and to make it a familiar and pleasant environment, as well as competitive, space is given to all those activities, including non-championship and winter activities, which contribute to "team building" as a form of aggregation and deepening of interpersonal relationships.

In 2018 Cuzari chose to undertake an ambitious new project: to bring the World's most prestigious and most successful motorbike brand back to the World Championship: MV Agusta.

This is how the MV Agusta Reparto Corse Forward Racing was born, taking to the track for the first time with the new F2 participating in the 2019 Moto2 World Championship. 

His words: "I've been chasing this dream since the days of Claudio (Castiglioni). Many times I insisted to come back with MV Agusta in MotoGP, and when Giovanni took his father's place, I often urged him to believe in such an ambitious project. He finally did, and today, 42 years later, we will take the first step with our MV Agusta Moto2 prototype. I am very excited, but aware that this is only a first step and that there is still a lot of work to do. I've had the opportunity to get to know the Centro Ricerche Castiglioni, the true heart of MV Agusta, and now I'm certain that we don't lack anything: the passion and professionalism of the group led by Paolo Bianchi, combined with my wonderful team, whom I thank individually, is definitely the right mix to be able to aim for the best. Today's event is a starting point to take this brand back to the top. I would also like to thank all those who have supported and are supporting this project, now the word passes to the stopwatch".

The young project shows the first results thanks to the speed record of 301.8 km/h recorded by Stefano Manzi on the Philip Island circuit. The team closes the season with a fourth place scored by Stefano Manzi at the Valencia GP.

The 2020 season sees for the second year F2 racing on the Moto2 World Championship circuits with riders Simone Corsi and Stefano Manzi. The young rider of the VR46 Riders Academy closes the season with an amazing Pole Position on the circuit of Valencia.

Among Cuzari's goals is the opening of a MV Agusta monobrand store in Ticino.

In 2021, the season opens with the return of Lorenzo Baldassari as MV Agusta Forward Racing team rider alongside Simone Corsi. New entry in the Team for some European Grand Prix will be Tommaso Marcon, a young rider who will make his experience during the season with the F2.

In 2022 he lined up Simone Corsi and Marcos Ramirez always in the Moto2 category

Team presentation 2021 – Race On Ice

On the occasion of the Team presentation, one year after the spread of the Covid-19 pandemic, the MV Agusta Forward Racing Team organizes a Covid-free event, swabbing the limited number of guests, providing U-Masks and keeping a safe distance in an environment sanitized by ASkyClean and creating a Pure Air Zone thanks to air purifiers supplied by U-Earth. The presentation will take place in the wonderful setting of the Cinema Mont Blanc, at the foot of Mont Blanc. During the two-day event guests will also have the opportunity to drive on Courmayeur's kart track or climb the Skyway to enjoy the breathtaking view of Europe's highest peak. 


Ethical Project in collaboration with the State Police

Thanks to the presence of police rider Simone Corsi, during the entire 2020 season the MV Agusta Forward Racing team will support the "Never drink and drive" ethical project by supporting the athletes of the Fiamme Oro Motociclismo, which reaches its peak during the double Grand Prix at the Marco Simoncelli Circuit in Misano Adriatico, during which the two riders have the honor of racing with the livery of the Polizia di Stato.


Team Presentation 2020 

The Team presents the line-up for the 2020 season at the evocative location of 55 Milano.

Leading the evening Vera Spadini and Sandro Donato Grosso, godmother of the evening Laura Barriales to present the riders Simone Corsi and Stefano Manzi. Special guests, in addition to MV Agusta President Timur Sardarov, Giacomo Agostini also took the stage to wish the riders a good season.


10 Years Party

On the occasion of the Grand Prix of San Marino and Riviera di Rimini, the team celebrates its 10th anniversary in the Moto2 World Championship, and the party is held at the Lido Riviera in Misano Adriatico.



Special Italian Livery 

As every year during the Grand Prix of Mugello the team takes to the track to celebrate Italy with a livery inspired by the Italian flag. 


Team Presentation 2019 – Mv Agusta is back

After 42 years, Team Forward Racing represents the return of the famous Varese-based brand to racing. The MV Agusta F2, which will race in the Moto2 World Championship this season, is presented at Garage Italia in Milan. Presenting the riders Stefano Manzi and Dominique Aegerter are Vera Spadini and Sandro Donato Grosso.

MV Agusta 50 Special livery

In anticipation of MV Agusta's imminent return to the World Championship, the team celebrates the Misano Grand Prix with a livery that echoes the lines and colours of Giacomo Agostini's famous MV Agusta. The bike is presented at the Samasara in Riccione, special guest Giacomo Agostini who unveiled the bike together with Luca Marini and Lorenzo Baldassarri.


Special Italian Livery

Sixth round of the 2017 Moto2 World Championship. Particularly important weekend for the Forward Racing Team, being the first of the two home GPs of 2017. For this event, the team decided to run the 21 laps of Sunday's race with a special design inspired by the national tricolor.


The Unveiling - Team Presentation 2017

The Forward Racing Team presented its riders, colors and sponsors, not to mention some news regarding the 2017 season, at "The Room", in Milan. The presentation was held by Laura Barriales, well-known model and TV presenter, born in Spain.

Unique event of its kind since 1978, when the circuit decided to give its spectators the excitement of the special stages, sees rally and track racing specialists challenge each other in addition to the protagonists of the world of entertainment and other sports disciplines.


Stars & Stripes

Event organized on the occasion of the San Marino and Riviera di Rimini GP 2016. During the evening presented by Cristina Chiabotto, the special liveries with which Lorenzo Baldassarri and Luca Marini competed in the Moto2 race were unveiled. The design of the Forward Racing Team Kalex was inspired by the American flag in memory of September 11, 2001.


Flower Power Forward Party

The most colorful party of the 2016 MotoGP season will be held in the paddock of the Assen circuit. The Hospitality area of the Forward Racing Team was decked out for the occasion in a hippie style location to give life to an aperitif open to guests, partners and all the people working in the paddock. DJ sets, a rich buffet and many flowers recreated the famous Flower Power atmosphere.


Race On Ice

A fun and exciting event/car race on ice designed to celebrate the beginning of the motorsport season together with champions of sport and entertainment. On the tracks of Livigno, competitors and sponsors also compete in food and wine "tests", typical of the area and fun activities such as quad bike and sled races, always with a healthy spirit of competition.
